Community Foundation
FOTE contributes through our participation in The City
of Modesto's Earth Day in the Park. We have been actively doing public
outreach about Earth Centered spirituality through this venue since
1998.
Stanislaus Wildlife Care Center
Since 1998 we have been supporting this dearly loved
organization through contributions and volunteers. We have two lovely
tiles on the wall at their facility and encourage our members to volunteer
and donate individually.
Modesto Neighborhood Connections
This is the organization that helped to redevelop part
of Graceada Park where the Earth Day celebration is held. We have a
brick with our name on it for donating to help them redevelop that area
of the park.
Food Not Bombs (Modesto)
We have and encourage others to donate food and clothing
to their local chapter of Food Not Bombs. They are a grass roots group
that helps to feed the homeless in many cities.
Universal Life Church (Modesto)
This is the organization that helps to make FOTE possible.
Through the tenet of Rev. Kirby Hensley's belief that all should be
able to practice whatever belief they so choose, FOTE was born and holds
it's meetings at the Church's Headquarters. We donate annually to the
Church to show our appreciation for their generousity and support of
their mission.
Various Other Community Activities
Our members are active in many areas of community building
and non-profit organizations. FOTE encourages it's members to become
active participants in their neighborhoods and communities. From programs
like Neighborhood Watch, to community Clean Up day's you will find FOTE
members participating in making their communities better.

National Federation of Community Broadcasters
With FOTE having our own LPFM community non-commercial
radio station, we will be networking with other broadcasters like this
group. We have spoken at conferences and continue to be a resource for
this group in our area.
Independent Media Centers
We support alternatives to corporate media such as this
group. A new local
chapter has just started for our area!
Modesto Peace-Life Center
Some members are active in the local and global Peace
Activism movement. This group is one of our local chapters of the Peace
and Justice movement.
Stanislaus County Volunteer Center
We have participated in their annual walk-a-thon to
raise money for FOTE and other community organizations.
Prometheus Radio Project
This is a great organization that helps to get Low Power
FM Radio stations going in communities. We have done some projects with
them and support their efforts.
A-Info's Radio Project (Radio4All)
Where we get a lot of our independent programming
for our radio station KQRP. We also submit programming to this project
for others to carry like "The Talking Stick" and other productions.
ARRL
We also support the Amateur Radio Relay League which
promotes the hobby of Amateur (Ham) Radio. This is a diverse community
and we are proud to support the future of technology and communication
education through Ham Radio.
